SOAR Ministries is collecting the following items to provide relief for our friends in Ashley, Jamaica who have been affected by Hurricane Dean. Other items may be collected in the future, but these are some immediate needs:

FOOD & MISCELLANEOUS:

large bags of dried pinto beans
large bags of rice (no boil-in-bags please)
cans of tuna, chicken, sardines
powdered juices (i.e. Tang, Gatorade, etc.)
breakfast bars/pop tarts
peanut butter (crunchy or smooth)
jelly
trash bags; paper towels; toilet paper; etc.

OVER THE COUNTER MEDICATIONS:

NOTE: no glass jars – please purchase items in plastic jars only.

CLOTHING:

Clothing is needed for all ages. Please provide only good used clothing or new clothing. If you purchase new items please take the price tags off.

Women’s dresses/skirts/blouses/slacks/t-shirts/shoes
Men’s shirts/pants/khakis/t-shirts/shoes
Children's pants/shirts/skirts/dresses/t-shirts/shoes
Baby clothes

FINANCIAL:

Contributions of any amount may be made through SOAR Ministries. The funds will be used for purchase of building materials and other items not easily shipped and for shipping costs. Checks should be made payable to Soar Ministries and sent to 1384 Meadow Springs Drive, Lilburn, GA 30047. Mark your check for Jamaica Relief. SOAR is a 501(c)(3) organization so your gifts are tax deductible. You will receive an acknowledgement of your financial gift at the end of the year.
